Thinner, thinner, thinner

The media proclaims

You can never be too thin

But you feel fat, ugly and hairy

Watching Hollywood actresses

Fresh from death camp dieting

And forced treadmill marches

Not really wanting to emulate their

Pencil thin boyishness

Yet insecure and not sure inside

Your own hourglass sensuality

You avoid meeting the wanting, hungry male gaze

Arms crossed over ample tits

Slouched above childbearing hips

Your futile attempts at erasing

The essence of womanhood
